Luminous Fire Hose Range and Positioning

Luminous fire hose is a fire hose with luminous or reflective elements integrated into the outer jacket. The jacket remains identifiable in low light, helping crews track the hose path and locate discharge points in smoke-filled areas. We supply the hose as a direct China factory, with luminous yarn incorporated during braiding and with optional marking along the hose length.

Material and Construction

Luminous hose is built with the same lining and jacket system as our conventional fire hose. The braided outer layer can be produced in plain or twill weave, and reflective yarns are added in the braid so they stay fixed through repeated flexing. The lining is selected for the working pressure and media: rubber plastic, rubber or polyurethane.

Polyurethane linings are common for higher pressure classes because the smooth bore reduces friction loss and keeps the hose light and flexible. Rubber linings remain suitable for applications with aggressive abrasion or where a thicker lining is preferred. We discuss the lining after you confirm the pump pressure, media and duty cycle.

Critical Specifications and Pressure Classes

Our fire hose production program includes four pressure classes. Luminous hose can be built in any of these classes, with the same nominal diameters and standard lengths.

Length is cut and checked against the ordered value, and each coil is inspected for dimensional consistency before coupling or packing.

For maintenance, we recommend rinsing the hose with clean water after use, drying it before storage, and checking the jacket, lining and couplings during scheduled inspections. The luminous yarn is part of the braided structure, so it does not peel away like a coated stripe.
