Taizhou Pacific Fire Equipment Co., Ltd. has manufactured fire protection equipment in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province since 1980, and the SG series fire hydrant box is one of our core lines, produced under the "Pacific" brand. Each cabinet is a fixed, box-shaped fire-fighting device that combines water supply, extinguishing, control and alarm functions, built around the indoor hydrant, hose, nozzle, indicator lamp, alarm button and pump start button required by the building's fire water system.
The range is specified for high-rise buildings, hotels, restaurants, stations, docks, warehouses, ships, modern residential buildings, and commercial, industrial, educational and medical projects. Our own production covers the box body, door and frame; the internal hydrant, hose and reel assemblies are matched to the same cabinet so the unit arrives as one coordinated package. As a Fire Hydrant Box manufacturer, we build to the GB 14561 fire hydrant box line and configure each order from the project drawing rather than from a single stock model.
Typical cabinet content: indoor fire hydrant valve, lined fire hose, fire nozzle, hose reel, red indicator lamp, alarm button and pump start button, assembled on the building's fire water supply pipework.
Cabinet Types in Our Fire Hydrant Box Range
Four construction types cover most architectural and interior requirements, and they can be combined with single- or double-door layouts.
All-steel type — high-quality steel plate body with anti-rust and anti-corrosion treatment inside and outside. The surface coating is bright and smooth with good adhesion, suitable for general concealed and exposed installation.
Stainless steel type — the complete door and box in stainless steel, or stainless door and frame with frosted or mirror glass in the centre, used where a clean, durable surface is required in lobbies and corridors.
Aluminium alloy type — aluminium alloy door frame structure with a facade that can be customised using decorative finishes matched to the surrounding interior.
Combined type — fire hydrant box and fire extinguisher cabinet integrated into one unit, used where wall space is limited or where a single coordinated front panel is preferred.
How the SG Model Code Reads
Our cabinet references follow a fixed sequence, so a model number states the size, the hydrant, the hose arrangement and the door configuration without additional description.
- SG — fire hydrant box.
- Thickness code — cabinet depth in millimetres (200, 240 or 320).
- Size code — cabinet length/short side letter (A, B, C, D).
- Hydrant code — nominal diameter of the indoor fire hydrant in millimetres (50 or 65).
- Z — hose reel configured; the code is omitted when no reel is fitted.
- Hose installation — hanging type needs no code; reel type is "P", roll type is "J", bracket type is "T".
- Door type — single door needs no code; double door is "8"; front and rear door is "H".

Cabinet depth, door type and internal fit-out are selected together. Larger C and D bodies carry the same hydrant and hose components as the A and B sizes but give service clearance for long hose runs, reel assemblies and combined extinguisher compartments.
Door Glass, Frame and Surface Finish
- Door glass is normally 5 mm white glass; frosted glass or mirror glass is supplied to customer requirement.
- Body panels receive anti-rust and anti-corrosion treatment before coating, inside and outside.
- All-stainless bodies, or stainless door and frame with glass, are available for visible public areas.
- Aluminium alloy door frames accept decorative facades so the cabinet front reads as part of the wall finish.
- Hinges, latches and the door stop are matched to the door weight of the selected size code.
Installation and Services Integration
Our cabinets are installed on the fire water supply pipeline inside the building, in exposed, concealed or semi-concealed form. For concealed and semi-concealed work we confirm the wall opening and recess depth against the L×W×T of the selected body, and the direction in which the door and glass panel open in relation to the corridor or lobby.
Electrical furniture — red indicator lamp, alarm button and pump start button — is arranged so the cabinet matches the building's fire alarm and pump control wiring. We confirm the required arrangement at quotation stage so that site wiring, the hydrant valve position and the hose or reel storage do not conflict inside the box.
Quality Control and Acceptance
Production is checked after each process, and finished cabinets are inspected 100% against the customer requirement and the applicable standards before packing. Our own laboratory and testing equipment cover the coating, dimensional and assembly checks that determine whether a cabinet will fit and function correctly on site.
- Dimensional check of the box, door opening and hydrant mounting positions.
- Door alignment, latch operation and glass condition.
- Coating adhesion, uniformity and anti-corrosion treatment on inner and outer surfaces.
- Assembly check of the hydrant, hose coupling and nozzle seating.
- Continuity and function of the alarm button, indicator lamp and pump start circuit.
- Marking and packaging check against the agreed shipping list.
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
A workable configuration comes from the building drawing, not from a catalogue number alone. The following project inputs determine the cabinet we quote.
- Building type and installation method — exposed, concealed or semi-concealed, with wall opening or recess dimensions.
- Size code and depth — A, B, C or D body, 200/240/320 mm thickness, single or double door.
- Indoor hydrant — nominal diameter 50 or 65 mm, single- or double-valve arrangement and quantity.
- Hose set — length, number of roots, coupling type and storage mode (hanging, reel, roll or bracket).
- Nozzle and electrical furniture — nozzle diameter 16 or 19 mm, alarm button and pump start requirement.
- Hose reel — whether a Z model with 19 mm × 20 m reel is required.
- Finish — all-steel, stainless steel, aluminium alloy or combined with extinguisher, plus glass type.
- Order data — quantity, marking, packing and delivery method; drawings or samples for OEM/ODM builds.
Where a project needs a non-standard facade, an unusual wall opening or a specific hose arrangement, we develop the product from the drawings or samples provided. Shipment is by sea, or by air when the goods are urgent, and quotations state the agreed transaction method.
Matched Products from Our Range
A hydrant box is only complete when the hydrant, hose, coupling, nozzle and reel suit one another. We supply those items from the same production base: fire hoses in lined and coated constructions, fire hose and reel assemblies rated for indoor hydrant boxes, and indoor fire hydrants in rotary and dual-port double-valve versions. Fire couplings, hose guns and extinguisher cabinets complete the set for projects ordered as a package.
Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes and hydrant diameters can we order?
Standard bodies are 800×650, 1000×700 and 1200×750 mm in length and short side, in 200, 240 or 320 mm depth, with indoor hydrant nominal diameters of 50 mm or 65 mm. Larger D bodies at 1600×700×240 and 1900×750×240 mm are used for double-door layouts and long hose storage.
Can a cabinet be supplied with a hose reel or an extinguisher?
Yes. The letter Z in the model code indicates a hose reel is fitted, normally 19 mm bore and 20 m long, and the hose installation code shows whether the hose is hanging, reel, roll or bracket mounted. Combined type cabinets integrate the fire hydrant box and the fire extinguisher cabinet in one unit.
Which finishes and glass types are available?
All-steel bodies with anti-rust and anti-corrosion treatment, full stainless steel bodies, stainless door and frame combinations, and aluminium alloy door frames with customisable facades. Door glass is normally 5 mm white glass; frosted or mirror glass is used where a specific appearance is required.
Can you manufacture to our own drawings or samples?
We develop and produce products from the drawings or samples provided by customers. Non-standard dimensions, facades and internal arrangements are handled as OEM/ODM orders, with the configuration agreed before production starts.
How are the boxes inspected before shipment?
Every process is inspected before the next stage, and finished products are given a 100% inspection according to the customer requirement and the applicable standards, covering dimensions, door and glass condition, coating, hydrant and hose assembly, and the alarm circuit.
How quickly do you respond to an inquiry?
On working days we reply within 12 hours of receiving an inquiry. Sending the building drawing, installation method and required quantity together with the inquiry allows us to return a complete configuration and quotation in the first reply.
